Super moves, also known as Skybound Arts, can be activated by pressing the Skill and Unique Attack buttons simultaneously, making it easy for new players to feel confident in their skills. Players can initiate auto-combos through an updated “Triple Attack” system. Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks can all chain to themselves or each other in easy-to-execute three-hit combos. Dash attacks give aggressive players an additional option to initiate combat, universal combo finishers that end in low or overhead attacks, and cancelable normals into Skills.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising adds a few new mechanics into the mix with the Brave Point system. Players start each round with three Bravery Points that are spent, lost, and earned in various ways. Raging Strikes and Brave Counters burn up individual Bravery Points. Hitting an opponent with a Raging Strike can break their guard and be followed up with a Raging Chain attack by spending 25% of your gauge. Raging Chains create opportunities to continue combos for extra damage while launching the opponent.
