BYOC and Freeplay
Still looking for more ways to get some games in? As the event goes on, tournament setups will become available for casual matches, and there is also a dedicated freeplay area on the far side of the venue near the Evo Arcade.
We also have a bigger BYOC area this year than ever before. And a bigger BYOC is always better. This area is reserved for attendees to set up their own equipment to play games, and is also the place to go for unofficial community-run tournaments. BYOC tournaments typically accept on-site registration, so if you didn’t get your competitive fix from the tournament lineup and the Community Showcase, this might be just what you’re looking for.
For a list of the currently planned BYOC tournaments and a rough schedule, see our Evo 2024 BYOC Tournaments article.
Evo Arcade
The arcade area at Evo 2024 is also the largest in Evo history, with over 250 different cabinets for everyone to freely enjoy. See our Evo 2024 Arcade article for the full list of games available in this year’s Evo Arcade.
Beyond the Arcade Stick Museum and Evo Art Gallery
Evo has grown so much over the years, and now it is truly a celebration of all things related to fighting games. If you want to give your hands a break from all the gaming, consider checking out this year’s Beyond the Arcade Stick Museum, where you can look at and learn more about a variety of controllers, arcade sticks, and pieces of fighting game history. Just next to it is the Evo Art Gallery containing over 100 pieces of artwork from several different artists, including some rare pieces that have never been shown publicly before.
You can learn more in our Beyond the Arcade Stick Museum and the Evo Art Gallery article, and be sure to stop by and check them out if you’re here in Vegas this weekend.
Cosplay Contest
The Cosplay Contest returns for Evo 2024, and we can’t wait to see everybody in their amazing fighting game cosplays this weekend. If you’d like to enter the contest, you can still show up in your cosplay during the designated judging windows for a chance to be selected as one of the finalists who will show off their costumes on the Community Stage on Day 2. All the finalists will receive Evo medals, and the winner will win a trip to a future Evo event of their choice.
Check out our Evo 2024 Cosplay Contest article for more information.
Evo Showcase
Kick off Day 1 of Evo 2024 with the Evo Showcase, where there will be a number of different panels, exhibitions, and fun activities taking place on the Community Stage. From special announcements and interviews with some of your favorite fighting game developers to interactive events like FGC Feud with JMCrofts and Sajam Slam: Beat a Pro, there’s something for everyone at this year’s Evo Showcase.

Evo Finals Watch Parties
Whether you’re here in person or watching from home, we have a new way for you to experience this year’s Top 6 Finals: Live Watch Parties in the venue with some of your favorite creators. The Arena Finals Experience will be available to all attendees inside the venue for all eight featured tournaments, but we will also have some special guests taking over a handful of the Convention Floor stages on Day 3. The watch parties available this year include:
- Maximilian Dood and the Yo VideoGames squad

Artist Alley and Vendor Village
As if all the scheduled programming we’ve covered so far wasn’t enough, this year’s Artist Alley and Vendor Village will also be the largest in Evo history, with almost 200 booths between the two areas combined. The Artist Alley at Evo is the best place to pick up stickers, pins, merchandise, apparel, and more from some of the incredible artists in the fighting game community. For an in-depth list of all the artists who will be a part of this year’s Artist Alley, check out our Evo 2024 Artist Alley Information post.
